We are looking for multiple Restaurant Managers for our New Restaurants in Melbourne CBD, Prahran, Hawthorn & St Albans (RM)!
RM is responsible and accountable to support the leadership and management of El Jannah store operations. The RM is to maintain a complete knowledge of what we do and how we do it; this includes our standard operating procedures (SOPs) and policies at all times in order to proactively deliver the highest level of service to our customers, develop our teams and achieve our business goals.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities
Management
Maintain a complete knowledge of SOPs.
Ensure that all daily and weekly reporting and documentation is completed.
Ensure all staff is trained to standards.
Roster staff according to business, staff and labour requirements, including managing and reporting annual and sick leave.
Maintain store security to protect people and assets including updating of security codes and key logs.
Report on store sales performance as required by El Jannah.
Identify opportunities for increasing sales and implement or execute actions to drive increased sales.
Leadership
Manage staff in accordance with El Jannah’s policies and procedures.
Lead a team of motivated and engaged staff, passionate about comradery, food quality and great customer service.
Communicate clearly and effectively.
Actively contribute to team activities.
Plan and conduct team management meetings and staff meetings as required.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
Ensure HR policies and procedures are complied with.
Ensure all WH&S policies and procedures are followed.
Ensure the correct use and maintenance of all equipment in accordance with El Jannah’s requirements and the manufacturer’s guidelines.
Supervise the use and maintenance of all equipment to minimise repair needs and extend the usable life of the equipment.
Identify, prevent and report any workplace hazards, including unsafe work practices and emergency procedures.
Report all injuries and incidents to management as they occur.
Ensure immigration and employment law is adhered to at all times.
People Development
Develop high performing teams and retain talent.
Ensure effective performance management practices are in place, including performance reviews, development plans and other documented feedback processes.
Develop all staff to ensure that vacancies in the store can be effectively filled as they occur.
Maintain and comply with succession plans.
Follow bench planning and succession plans established across all positions to support long-term stores and area stability.
Business Results
Execute local area marketing as required by HO.
Meet Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), Cost of labour (COL) and Operating Cost targets as set by HO.
Ensure that cash management policies and procedures are followed.
Report on the Store’s financial performance.
Accurately and promptly complete weekly inventory procedures and end of week reports.
Monitor stock deliveries to ensure they are in line with orders and invoices (e.g. weights, case counts, quality and yields).
Roster in an effective manner to ensure productivity and guest experience metrics are met.

Comply with all WHS legislation, including reporting any incident or hazards as they have occurred.

Lead a customer-oriented team; take appropriate action when presented with feedback from customers and/or feedback affecting the customer experience.
Ensure mandatory checklists are completed by relevant staff at all times.
Essential Requirements & Behaviours.
Qualifications & Experience
- Completed or willing to undertake Food Safety Supervisor course
- Proven experience in a management role(s) in the hospitality industry
- Good command of spoken and written English
- Understanding of written operational and financial reports
- High level people management and conflict resolution skills
- Personable and approachable disposition
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Commercial cooking and food safety
- Ability and willingness to personally complete all store tasks as required
- Ability to use Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
