The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and passionate individual to be the lead coach for both our APS Diving Program and SKC Diving Club program whilst continuing our Junior School Talent program.

The coach will conduct training at the College’s pool as well as Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centres Diving facility. The position is equivalent to 0.4 FTE with hours averaged out over the course of the year.

A higher time fraction will be considered should the applicant have skills that can be utilised in other areas of the College e.g. Teaching, Administration.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high level Elite coaching on a year-round basis for identified performance divers who compete at a State and National Level
  • Develop training plans for each age/skill level
  • Foster a positive and supportive training environment.
  • Mentor coaches as well as monitoring performance on a regular basis and review with the Dean of Sport.

Qualifications:

  • Level 2 coach accreditation which allows platform coaching.
  • Extensive experience coaching diving at a competitive level.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement successful training programs.
  • Strong knowledge of diving techniques, rules, and safety procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and travel to events as required.
