What You'll Be Doing:

The purpose of the position is to facilitate patient booking and admission within the hospital for all surgical patients.

Selection Criteria:

  1. Ability to communicate clearly with strong interpersonal skills and a focus on customer service.
  2. Effective written and oral communication including telephone skills and an understanding of medical terminology
  3. Ability to interpret and apply policy, guidelines and local operating procedures as relevant to the Admissions Officer role and knowledge of the NSW Health Waiting Times and Elective Surgery Policy.
  4. Demonstrated initiative and ability to problem solve in a customer service environment and to work in a team environment or independently as required
  5. Demonstrated knowledge of relevant computer systems including; Microsoft Office, iPM, eMR and Telstra TMS.
  6. Demonstrated skills related to accuracy, task prioritization and attention to detail.
