About the role:
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Patient Bookings Officer to join our team. In this role, you will provide exceptional customer service to members of the public while working in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment. You will be responsible for scheduling, managing patient data, ensuring compliance with hospital procedures, and building positive relationships with stakeholders, referrers, and department staff.

We are seeking a skilled and energetic, highly organized, detail-oriented professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be proficient in managing a variety of tasks, both independently and collaboratively, and have a strong understanding of hospital administration procedures. A proactive approach to problem-solving, the ability to handle sensitive information in a respectful manner, and the ability to work well within a supportive team will be key to success in this position.

Selection Criteria:
1. Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia.
2. Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
3. Able to manage stakeholder expectations when scheduling appointments across a busy diary.
4. Demonstrates the ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously to achieve targets.
5. Demonstrates high level of attention to detail and ability to follow detailed instructions.
6. Ability to maintain confidentiality and a high degree of personal responsibility.
