Our Client is a boutique, local consultancy firm that partners with businesses and brokers to provide independent advice and programmes in risk and workers compensation claims. They are dedicated to delivering agile and bespoke solutions that allow their clients to focus on their core business.
About The OpportunityAs a Rehabilitation Consultant , you will be the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for employers and injured workers in matters related to workplace rehabilitation and return-to-work planning.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Identifying barriers to return-to-work and implementing effective strategies.
- Preparing detailed reports to support case progress and insurance requirements.
- Managing a caseload of clients, providing return-to-work assistance and case management.
- Educating clients and employers on injury prevention and best-practice rehabilitation strategies.
- Conducting thorough workplace assessments, ergonomic evaluations, and functional assessments.
- Liaising with employers, insurers, and medical professionals to create and execute rehabilitation programs.
The successful candidate will have:
- A current Australian driver's licence.
- Strong understanding of workplace health and safety principles.
- Proactive communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
- 1+ year of experience in workplace rehabilitation, workers’ compensation, or injury management
- An analytical mindset with the ability to assess complex injury cases and develop appropriate management strategies.
- A Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Rehabilitation Counselling, Exercise Physiology, or a related field.
