The National Offshore Petroleum Safety and Environmental Management Authority (NOPSEMA) is Australia's independent expert regulator for health and safety, structural integrity, well integrity and environmental management for all offshore energy operations and greenhouse gas storage activities in Commonwealth waters, and in coastal waters where regulatory powers and functions have been conferred.
NOPSEMA also administers the functions of the Offshore Infrastructure Regulator (OIR), for the offshore renewables industry. This includes the regulation of work health and safety, infrastructure integrity, and environmental management for offshore renewable energy infrastructure activities.

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Software Engineer to join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in our Digital Transformation journey. Role:
NOPSEMA currently has an exciting opportunity for a motivated IT professional to join our Information Management and Technology Team as a Software Engineer at our Perth Office.
Reporting directly to the Principal Engineer, Digital Solutions, you will contribute to the design, development, and deployment of digital solutions that align with our strategic objectives.

The key duties of the position include
Key Responsibilities:
As a Software Engineer, your duties will include but not limited to:
• Participate in the full software delivery process including design, coding, operations, and support.
• Design and develop software solutions to meet NOPSEMA's complex and evolving needs.
• Continuously improve our software solutions and their operational environments, with the opportunity to further develop your skills and knowledge in a range of ITC technologies.
• Assist in ensuring software solutions and delivery processes meet relevant policies and standards.
• Provide support in maintaining the software development environment and tools.
• Assist with software delivery projects within NOPSEMA's program management system.
About you:
You have demonstrated ability to develop software solutions using modern platforms and frameworks.
You have worked in an agile software delivery methodology, including participation in workshops and stand-ups.
You have supported production solutions, including responding to user feedback, with the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose root causes of issues.
Previously working in the Offshore Energy Sector and possessing knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Dynamics 365, Power Platform and related services are desirable attributes.
