Our Home Assessing team plays a crucial role in ensuring high-quality, cost-effective home repairs while providing outstanding support to our members.
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Team Leader – Home Assessing to lead our team of Assessors, drive operational performance, and oversee repair management practices.
As a Team Leader – Home Assessing , you will be responsible for managing a team of Home Assessors and Assessing Support Specialists, overseeing home building claims, and ensuring cost-effective, high-quality repairs. You will also play a key role in supplier management, dispute resolution, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team to deliver exceptional operational outcomes.

Oversee the technical aspects of home building claims, ensuring repairs are cost-effective, high-quality, and minimising member inconvenience .

Negotiate with repairers, supervise repair work, and develop scopes of work.

Ensure claims are handled in line with RAC Insurance policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.

Manage disputes, escalated claims, and complex cases in accordance with internal dispute resolution processes.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and member satisfaction.

Ensure compliance with ASIC Regulatory obligation and manage risk and compliance incidents.

Lead recruitment, onboarding, and training efforts for new team members.

Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including preferred suppliers and builders.
Manage commercial reporting, compliance audits, and risk management processes.
What We’re Looking For:

Strong experience in H ome Insurance claims handling, Home Assessing, or the Home Building industry .

Demonstrated leadership experience with a focus on team performance, coaching, and collaboration .

Strong knowledge of Australian building codes, construction techniques, and safety protocols .

Excellent communication and negotiation skills to manage disputes and stakeholder relationships.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions.

A proven ability to manage risk and compliance within an insurance or home assessing environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and claims management systems.
-
Experience in insurance loss adjusting highly desirable.

Trade qualification in carpentry, bricklaying, or related field is highly desirable
