We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated B1 Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to join our team on a fixed-term contract of 18 months in Karratha, Western Australia. The successful candidate will perform maintenance, inspections, and certifications on turbine engine aero planes in compliance with CASA and Textron Aviation standards. Duties and Responsibilities

The Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Comply with and maintain an understanding of the Textron Aviation manuals suite and the procedures contained within it;
  • Ensure the policies, procedures and instructions published by the Company are adhered to;
  • Hold safety as a core value and contribute to the achievement of a zero harm and incident/injury free environment through active participation in all safety programs relevant to the position;
  • Report all safety related matters in accordance with the Safety Management System (SMS) and make appropriate recommendations to improve safety, productivity and efficiency;
  • Supervise unqualified maintenance personnel;
  • Ensure all Aircraft related certification paperwork is completed accurately and in compliance with the system of certification and within Company and CASA deadlines;
  • Ensure all Maintenance Releases issued are in accordance with the release instructions;
  • Clear, concise and accurate written reports in logs, inspection reports and in parts identification for issue and return documents;
  • Perform modification/s and a variety of diagnostic and mechanical duties on one or more aircraft models involving diagnosis of malfunctions and required disassembly, installation, rework, repair, replacement, reassembly or adjustment of various aircraft systems to prepare aircraft mechanically for flight and delivery to customer;
  • Have sound knowledge of annual and progressive inspection procedures set forth in aircraft maintenance manuals;
  • Perform duties in a manner consistent with the latest state of the art and highest standards of safety for maintaining aircraft in the most airworthy and reliable condition for the customers' safety.
  • Certify for maintenance activities within delegated authority;
  • Observe and comply with all standards and procedures contained within the Civil Aviation Safety Authority Regulations, as well as individual aircraft systems and maintenance;
  • Ensure all maintenance and repairs are carried out to a high standard, ensuring integrity and robustness of aircraft to meet operational requirements;
  • Participate in aircraft recovery when necessary;
  • Service and clean hangar, tools and ground equipment as directed by the Maintenance Manager.

Qualifications

The person appointed as Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer shall:

  • Hold a CASA Part 66 B1 License;
  • Type rated on a Citation 560 with a JT15 Series;
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role;
  • Have strong attention to detail and analytical skills;
  • Have strong written, verbal and communication skills.
