BenefitsTask & ResponsibilitiesKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Diagnose faults and maintain petrol, diesel and new energy light vehicles, including:
- Complete Pedders Brake, Steering and Suspension checks and NSW eSafety inspections, recording and quoting work required to achieve roadworthiness.
- Specialist knowledge of suspension and chassis dynamics and the effects of weight to diagnose, recommend and complete upgrades to light motor vehicles.
- Advanced knowledge and diagnostic skill in wheel alignment, including raised off road vehicles, lowered sports vehicles and commercial load carrying vehicles.
- Driveline diagnosis, removal and repair or replacement of drive shafts, bearings and seals.
- Brakes system fault and wear diagnosis using our Safe-T-Stop test lane. Mechanical friction material, hydraulic and ABS component replacements and upgrades.
- Manual, hydraulic and electric steering gear and linkage diagnosis and component replacements
- The use of ODBC workshop scanners to diagnose root cause faults in engines, transmissions, body control systems and sensors. Recommendations and replacement of required parts.
- Identification and completion of logbook servicing to manufacturer standards including task and service fluid selection, service record keeping.
- Engage and work within our Pedders Work, Health and Safety system guidelines including routine cleaning and maintenance of our workshop, tools and equipment to a high standard.
- All workshop waste and recycling to be carried out to environmental standards.
AS OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE, YOU WILL HAVE:
- Certificate III or IV including at least two years of on-the-job training.
- A current NSW Fair Trading MVTC registration.
- A clean NSW drivers licence including manual transmission vehicles.
- At least one year or more work experience in the same or similar role.
- A positive attitude and strong team and work ethic, keen to learn and share new skills.
