About the opportunity
Formed in 1856, Sydney Medical School is the oldest medical school in Australia. it accommodates around 1200 medical students undertaking a four-year graduate-entry Doctor of Medicine program, in addition to postgraduate coursework students undertaking a wide range of master’s degree, graduate diploma and graduate certificate courses. In addition to teaching and research facilities on the primary Camperdown and Westmead campuses, Sydney Medical School is comprised of six metropolitan clinical schools and three rural clinical schools where students undertake most of the program.
We are currently seeking to appoint a Research Assistant (RA) to the ScreenEQUAL NHMRC-funded project. In this final year of the project, ScreenEQUAL is trialling co-designed resources for people with intellectual disability, families and supporters, and healthcare providers to enhance access to cervical screening.The Research Assistant is responsible for facilitating the research process by assisting in the coordination and execution of routine research activities, including ethics submissions and data base management, and ensuringe efficient communication with across the multi-disciplinary team. They also contribute to maintaining organised research records, readying data for presentations and reports, and will have an opportunity to be involved in data analysis and research publications.
Your key responsibilities will be to:

Assist with the coordination and execution of routine research tasks under direction
-
support ethics and clinical trial submissions
-
ensure adherence to research protocols and assist with sourcing information to assist research work
-
support data collection activities, ensuring accuracy in data entry and its storage for further analysis
-
support recruitment of study participants and set up and support for participant tracking
-
act as a point of contact for project participants and field study contributors
-
maintain basic research records and assist with the consolidation of data for reports and presentations
-
engage with stakeholders to address concerns and gather feedback, maintaining effective communication channels and collaborating with the team to enhance stakeholder relations
-
administer reporting processes, maintain accurate data within university systems, and contribute to ensuring the team's compliance with standard regulations
-
process regular purchasing and payment activities, ensuring timely and accurate invoice management
-
actively participate in team-based risk assessments, ensure consistent application of safety measures in designated tasks, and liaise with colleagues to address and resolve any minor safety concerns

undertake other duties appropriate within the classification level as .
About you

an Honours or equivalent in a relevant field
-
experience in working with priority populations
-
demonstrated ability to conduct research-related tasks independently or with minimal supervision
-
demonstrated ability to generate reproducible, high quality research results
-
demonstrated ability to use the latest technology in research projects
