About the role:

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to provide assistance and support to individuals with complex needs, specifically those who are neurodivergent. The ideal candidate will have experience in assisting with medication administration and be able to provide emotional and physical support to those in need. This role requires excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Tasks and responsibilities will include:

- Provide emotional and physical support to individuals with complex needs

- Assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, meal preparation, and feeding

- Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals

- Accompany individuals to appointments and activities

- Maintain accurate records of services provided

- Communicate effectively with individuals, families, and healthcare professionals

- Monitor changes in an individual's condition and report any concerns promptly

- Create a safe and comfortable environment for individuals under your care

Qualifications:

  • Certificate III in Disability or equivalent experience or working towards it
  • Experience working in Disability Care within the community setting.
  • Leadership experience in aged care or disability care, with the ability to influence others to deliver outstanding care and customer service.
  • High level of clinical knowledge.
  • Sound understanding of Aged Care and Disability Quality Standards and quality management systems.
  • Full Australian working rights and ability to pass a national police clearance.
