Management Accountant - Sydney

Key Responsibilities
The core role within the first 6 to 12 months will be:
- Preparation of monthly P&L, balance sheet and cash flow forecasts;
- Preparation of other key management reports, including daily cash flow and sales reporting, product reports and other key reports for decision making;
- Preparation of data for demand planning meetings. These are monthly meetings to provide an intimate link between sales forecasts, inventory forecasts and cash flow forecasts;
- Coordination of the budgeting process, including creation and monitoring of budget timetables and key inputs, as well as supporting budget preparation;
- Financial modelling, revenue and capex reporting, and spend analysis;
- Hedging (foreign currency risk mitigation strategies);
- Assisting with continuous ad-hoc process improvement projects that cut across all functions and departments; and
- Hands on involvement in the daily operation of a national business.
These are the core functions of all Management Accountants. The key differentiator in this role is the opportunity to get involved in other areas of our business such as marketing, warehouse operations and sales.

About You
- CA / CPA qualified (not essential but helpful)
- A minimum of two years post-qualification experience. This is Essential.
- Strong technical accounting skills, with an understanding of finance principles.
- Advanced Excel skills (essential) , with experience in data extraction, manipulation, and modelling.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and a commercial mindset
- Comfortable working with non-finance stakeholders and adding business value through financial insights
