Cause Effect Psychology are seeking a professional, friendly and mature-minded Receptionist to assist in the administration of our practice. We are known for delivering a high level of service to our team, our clients and our community. The right candidate will be friendly, pro-active and have a high level of attention to detail and professionalism. Professional and / or personal development opportunities are available. Experience in a reception / administrative role is desirable but not essential.

Cause Effect Psychology are a well-established psychology practice in the beautiful suburbs of Birkdale and Hawthorne. We provide psychology services to adults, children., adolescents and couples across Brisbane from Monday to Saturday. Our clinicians are reliant on administration support to ensure they are entirely focused on the delivery of psychology services to our clients. Our practice environment balances a sense of calm and compassion with a very professional and high performing team who care deeply about their client outcomes.
A Bit About The Role
We are looking for a Receptionist with personal qualities of work reliability, high attention to detail, a positive work attitude, and the ability to manage a variety of tasks autonomously. We require a friendly, proactive and enthusiastic receptionist who will be happy to support the Cause Effect team in the day to day running of Cause Effect. The position is part time, with rostered days and times to be agreed. At this stage we are hoping to find someone with Halaxy and/or medical or allied health administration experience.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Daily receptionist and administrative duties, such as processing payments, invoicing, answering phone calls, managing new enquiries, diary management, greeting clients, and file management.
- Supporting psychologists with any queries and requests.
- Ensuring the business and psychologists continue to meet compliance with relevant legislation and statutory requirements for practicing including OH&S and privacy, as per established processes.
- Regular reporting to the Directors (i.e. reporting, case load management, referral management, etc.).
- Helping the clinic to run smoothly from lights on to lights off and keeping the clinic tidy.
- Purchasing of office supplies and equipment and maintaining proper stock levels.
Job Types: Part-time, Casual
Pay: $25.88 – $30.22 per hour
