Description:

We are currently seeking a full time Conference & Events Coordinator at The Reef Hotel Casino, the pre-eminent centre for gaming, entertainment, food and accommodation in Cairns.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, pro-active, and enthusiastic sales professional who possesses exceptional organisational, time management, and people skills to join our Sales team.

Responsibilities

  • Complete organisation of conference, events, weddings, and incentives – from confirmation to post-event follow-up experience and ensure client satisfaction and accordance of set policies and procedures.
  • Ensure deposits are paid and complete client coordination to hand over to the operational team.
  • Conduct site inspections with new and existing clients.
  • Respond to specific client requests whilst being proactive in providing creative solutions that meet & exceed client expectations.
  • Liaise with hotel, banquet and kitchen staff to ensure requirements are met, and events run smoothly.
  • Follow up with the client to seek feedback on their experience and repeat business.
  • Correct system reporting, budgeting and forecasting your events.

Criteria

  • Previous experience in planning events within the hospitality industry.
  • Exceptional customer service skill and a passion for creating an event that excels expectations.
  • Ability to clearly communicate with clients via phone, email and face to face.
  • Outstanding organisation skills with the ability to work with, and manage, multiple clients and their details simultaneously.
  • Excellent telephone technique and the ability to maintain friendly relations with customers both internal and external.
  • Opera, Delphi, and ANAIS knowledge preferred but not essential.
  • Impeccable grooming and presentation.
