An exciting role for a Policy professional to join the Department of Housing and Public Works' Procurement team.Please note that due to the recent Machinery of Government change, this department is now the Department of Housing and Public Works.
You will be part of a small team of policy professionals responsible for the ongoing stewardship and management of the Queensland Government's procurement approach including the Queensland Procurement Policy, along with related whole-of government guidance, tools and templates.
What You Will Be Doing
- Developing and maintaining whole-of-government procurement strategy, policy and guidance that supports value for money in procurement, including pursuing government's economic, ethical, environmental and social outcomes for all Queenslanders now and into the future.
- Undertaking research, analysis and consultation to address complex policy issues and continuously improve procurement strategy, policy and guidance.
- Providing expert advice and presentations to government and non-government stakeholders.
- Providing input into and/or reviewing, Cabinet submissions and strategy and policy proposals, to ensure procurement-related issues and opportunities are identified and addressed.
- Ensuring on-time delivery of high-quality outputs.
- Proactively manage your work performance and personal conduct, as well as junior staff that you coach and mentor.
