Description:

ConsultANZ are looking for 2x Senior Health, Safety & Environment Advisors to work for our client in Sydney. Our client is a reputable company with a strong track record in both international and local markets, specializing in the mechanical installation of solar farms. They have successfully delivered comprehensive solar farm solutions, ranging from the largest projects in Australia to smaller fixed ground-mounted systems.
Main Duties
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Continuously overseeing and updating WHS (Work Health and Safety) policies, management plans, systems, and procedures.
  • Ensuring that TRA (Task Risk Assessment), SWMS (Safe Work Method Statements), and Safe Work Instructions align with legal requirements.
  • Effectively managing and reporting safety performance in accordance with Project WHS management systems.
  • Offering advice, interpretation, and guidance to the management team regarding statutory requirements and the latest developments in the occupational health and safety (OH&S) field.
  • Identifying areas of risk through trend analysis and proactively implementing controls and targeted audits to manage potential risks.
  • Ensuring that training and education related to systems, statutory appointments, hazard awareness, reporting, and duty of care are provided and appropriately documented.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience within the solar farm field.
  • Ideally demonstrates proficiency in thorough investigation and reporting, particularly in ICAM (Incident Cause Analysis Method).
  • Preferably has strong writing and reporting skills, with relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with ISO 45001, the health and safety standard, is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and meticulous attention to detail are desired.
  • Capable of interpreting project-related documents, preparing reports, and overseeing compliance documentation.
  • Demonstrates the ability to establish robust working relationships with key stakeholders, including major clients.
  • Proven track record in developing, implementing, executing, and continuously enhancing Health and Safety systems.
  • Adaptable and flexible in their approach to health and safety, with the ability to make sensible decisions in uncertain situations.
