This FIFO role (14:7 roster), and is a great chance to join an organization that is currently experiencing significant growth!About the Role:This is an exciting opportunity for a safety professional to play a key role in managing health, safety, and environmental (HSE) activities for regional operations. Reporting directly to the General Manager of Snowy 2.0, you will work closely with site-based personnel to ensure the safety of all team members through risk assessments, safety programs, drills, and meetings.As an HSE Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:Managing company and client-driven HSE activities and initiativesSupporting comprehensive incident investigations and reportingEnsuring Food Safety. HACCP compliance knowledge (mandatory)Conducting HSE coaching, capability building, gap analysis, toolbox and pre-start meetings, as well as safety walksIdentifying hazards, implementing effective systems, policies, and procedures to continuously improve safety standards
About You:You are an experienced safety professional with a proven track record in senior safety roles, ideally within mining, civil, or facilities maintenance industries. You have a passion for fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement, and you thrive in a collaborative, high-performance environment.To succeed in this role, you will need:Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (mandatory)Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable)A current, full Manual Driver’s License for operating site vehiclesFamiliarity with ICAM and Root Cause Incident InvestigationStrong time management, teamwork, and relationship-building skills
