The Service Victoria culture is dynamic and fast-paced, we're not what you'd expect from a government department. We work flexibly and remotely, using our workspace in Footscray. We have a mature digital services platform of contemporary cloud-based infrastructure, technical architecture and scalable and reusable common capabilities, with real-time integration into agency legacy systems. The Department of Government Services (DGS) was established on 1 January 2023 to improve everyone's experience of doing business and interacting with the Victorian government.Service Victoria and DGS are bringing important day-to-day services together in one department to make things easy and seamless for Victorians and businesses. We are doing this by connecting and digitising our systems and platforms across state and local government as well as streamlining our corporate and procurement services.
About the role
As Service Victoria grows, and moves into its operational phase, we will continue to progressively add new transactions and new functionality to existing capabilities, including digital licences, digital proof of identity, online accounts and payments with a particular focus on our mobile app.
Service Victoria is now focused on building the future organisation and the appropriate IT organisation structure and capability that will allow the implemented solutions to be maintained, supported and expanded upon on an on-going basis. You will also have a chance to work on continuously improving our service offering by bringing in structured improvements based on data analytics and insights This is an exciting opportunity to join a large, sophisticated digital agency where you can further your skills and make a difference. We will invest in your skills and training, and you'll get to work side-by-side with experienced developers. We have used Agile methodology from the very start at scale. The role is in an Agile scrum team (a squad), working with other squads to understand and maintain the systems they've created.
This is a full time contract role until 31 Dec 2025.
Position Duties/Key Selection Criteria Develop or configure and update Salesforce according to specifications. Provide confident incident support across a range of systems. Test and debug code and configuration. Participate in code reviews and unit testing. Manage simple feature development. Confidently comments code, uses commit messages, etc, and adds to project documentation. Demonstrate how your configuration fits in with data and workflows for the best customer experience A personal commitment to integrity, respect for others, and appropriate workplace behaviour. Specialist/Technical Experience Certifications in relevant areas are highly desirable, especially in the areas of OmniStudio, Platform, Data Cloud, Experience Cloud, Service Cloud and/or Public Sector Solutions.
