Project Officer, Aboriginal Programs* Salary: $76,817 - $93,275 (Plus Superannuation)
* Full time / Fixed term role for 12 months (flexibility may be available)

The Role
As a Project Officer, Aboriginal Programs, you will provide support to the team by contributing to the design and delivery of key initiatives. The position will engage with both Aboriginal communities, and work across government agencies to increase access and maximise opportunities for Aboriginal Victorians to participate in sport and active recreation. The role will deliver administration and support partnerships.
Key accountabilities include:
* Provide administrative support to the Manager, Aboriginal Programs to assist with projects of the APT including the Aboriginal Sporting Partnership, Self-Determination work, Together More Active project support and relationship management as required.
* Support the APT in the development and delivery of Aboriginal sport and recreation programs through the administration of the Aboriginal Sporting Participation Grant Program.
* Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders (including Aboriginal organisations and community) through a professional and collaborative approach to support development opportunities and pathways for Aboriginal people.
The Team
The position of Project Officer, Aboriginal Programs is in the Aboriginal Programs Team (APT) and will work across the Equity, Policy and Engagement Team of the Sport and Recreation Victoria (SRV) branch, which sits within the Sport and Experience Economy (SEE) group.
Sport and Experience Economy (SEE) is comprised of Sport and Recreation Victoria (SRV), Tourism and Events (T&E) and Outdoor Recreation (OR).
Sport and Recreation Victoria (SRV), within the Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions (DJSIR), manages several investment programs that seek to increase participation in community sport and recreation by maximising the delivery of outcomes most aligned to Victorian Government objectives and those within Active Victoria.
About You
The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
* Written Communication: Prepares written communication using clear, concise, and grammatically correct language, ensuring it contains necessary information to achieve their purpose.
* Project Management: Produces project plans where objectives are clearly defined and action steps for achieving them are clearly specified.
* Relationship Building: Establishes and maintains relationships with people at all levels.
