Description:
The Senior Project Officer will manage complex programs and commercial projects within the Commercial and Investment Attraction Division. The Senior Project Officer is required to ensure project management and contract administration functions and processes are completed within required timeframes and to a high standard. This role will also contribute to strategic business planning, implementation and delivery of new programs and projects, manage cross functional delivery of programs and provide leadership and guidance on sensitive and complex policy and delivery issues. The Senior Project Officer will support the Manager Project Development and Delivery and will be responsible for day-to-day delivery of key commercial contracts within the Major Energy Projects branch of the Innovation, Commercial and Investment Attraction Division.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
- A tertiary qualification and/or experience in energy, finance, accounting, engineering, technology development or project management with a commercial focus.
- Project management experience in agile methodologies and experience with MS office, including MS Word and advanced MS Excel is essential.
- Experience in data analysis and data modelling, including the ability to interrogate and develop new workflows in data analytics software such as Tableau.
- Working knowledge of commercial and technical issues relating to the Victorian electricity sector and its context in the National Electricity Market will be highly regarded.
- Demonstrated expertise in Victorian government policies and programs relating to the large-scale renewable energy projects will be highly regarded.
This is a fixed term position available until 30 June 2026. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
