JOB ROLE: Accountant

Partner In Your Care (PIYC) Service is a community-based disability service provider registered under National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). Partner In Your Care provides range of services to people with psychosocial disability from daily activities and community participation. Location: Norwest NSW 2153
Salary range: $70,000 - $90,000 (depending upon work experience)
Role: Full-time
Key responsibilities include:
- Prepare and analyse financial statements, accounting records and other related financial summaries
- Prepare and present financial reports including P&L, Balance Sheet, operating results, cash flow forecast to management for better decision making.
- Commercially evaluating and helping develop forecasts, budgets and operational targets and prepare in-depth analysis on any variances against budgets and previous reporting timelines
- Prepare monthly projection of sales and analyse them with the current sales reports
- Create chart of accounts and ensuring that company complies with all record keeping and accounting regulations set by ATO.
- Time to time maintaining and implementing internal controls in the business and review their effectiveness on regular basis throughout the year.
- Liaise with operational staff in relation to administrative and reviewing work by bookkeepers and provide training and support, as required.
- Provide assurance about the accuracy of data presented to governing bodies.
- Manage payroll & all payroll liabilities including PAYG, Superannuation and the fixed asset register including disposals and depreciation schedules.
- Report to the Management regarding finances and equity of the business
- Track fixed assets and preparing depreciation schedules.
- Liaise with Australian Taxation Office (ATO) and other associated regulatory bodies when required by the respective authorities and regularly reviewing taxation system and controls to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Prepare and analyse financial and operational budgets and conduct risk assessments on a regular basis and provide timely reports to the management with recommendations.
- Prepare detailed comparative financial analysis of business and project performance for management’s review.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Tertiary degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Australian experience is preferred
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong working knowledge of accounting concepts and standards.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong MS excel and word skills
- Demonstrated experience in computerised accountancy systems.
- Experience with XERO/MYOB is desirable.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise with team members at all levels.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office - Outlook, Word, Excel
