Description:

This role has a strong focus on achieving safety, operational and financial scorecard metrics, in addition to achieving an extremely high standard of customer service.

Key responsibilities include:

• Participate in, manage and oversee Star Aviation’s day-to-day ground handling operations, including cabin cleaning.
• Lead and manage operational staff to ensure appropriate oversight of daily operations through provision of general and direct guidance to the team.
• Performing progress and final checks and signing off airline requirements particularly in relation to loading and unloading of aircraft.
• Planning and utilising staff and resources effectively to ensure that schedule delivery, cost and service levels are met.
• Investigate delays and service failures and work with the relevant internal and external teams to resolve.
• Assist with the calculation of budgets and cost models.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key airport personnel, liaising with airport operators to ensure airport facilities meet Star Aviation’s requirements.
  
  
  

Skills and Experiences:

You’ll be an ideal candidate for this role if you have…

• Certificate III in Aviation (Ground Operations and Service)
• A valid driver licence
• A valid Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)
• A Valid Authority to Drive Airside Card (ADA)
• Senior First Aid Certification
• Highly competent and previous experience in the operational requirements of Ground handling to perform above and below wing operations.
• Demonstrated achievements in managing, motivating and leading teams.
• Experience in developing and implementing business improvements and change management strategies.
• Excellent organisation and time management skills, with a strong ability to multi-task, prioritise and meet deadlines
• Customer focus to deliver exceptional service
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and situations and working in a fast-paced team environment.
