About the Role

The Placement Officer plays a pivotal role within our organisation, ensuring the seamless matching and placement of AE students into valuable placement opportunities. This role demands a high level of attention to detail, communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining compliance with regulatory bodies.

Key Responsibilities include:

Matching students to placement opportunities:

  • Utilise AE's placement system of choice to manage demand for placements and reporting.
  • Conduct a thorough review of documents submitted by students, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements before progressing.
  • Conduct one-on-one interviews with students to understand their placement requirements.
  • Allocate the appropriate student to placement agencies.
  • Forward CVs and documents of students to agencies.

Student interview with Placement agency:

  • Coordinate interviews with agencies or stay informed about any placements organised by students themselves.
  • Ensure accurate and timely updates in AE systems regarding placement activities.

Placement confirmation:

  • Contact students and offer placements based on location and preference if possible.
  • Send placement confirmation emails to students and agencies and ensure all required documents are uploaded on InPlace.
  • Allocate students to applicable Liaison Officers.
  • Update student and agency details on InPlace or AE's system of choice.
  • Identify students at risk of placement breakdown, incomplete placements, or requiring support, escalating to the Course Coordinator.

Student Queries:

  • Manage incoming calls and queries from students who are placement ready.

Issue and collect feedback from students on placement:

  • Utilise Moodle and/or AE's system of choice to gather feedback.
  • Issue completion letters, reviewing content for accuracy.

About You

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in education or customer service.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with InPlace or similar placement management systems.
  • Commitment to maintaining compliance with regulatory bodies.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Willingness to undergo training on new systems and technologies.
