About the Role:
We are looking for a skilled Carpenter to join our Building Services Team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the construction and maintenance of GPC's facilities. As a Carpenter, you will play a key role in ensuring the ongoing functionality of GPC’s buildings and assets, while supporting the broader goals of the Asset Management & Project Services department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general carpentry maintenance services in line with the Carpentry Job Model to support efficient operations across GPC’s infrastructure.
- Execute carpentry work to a high standard of quality and in compliance with GPC's operational procedures.
- Accurately determine material requirements and organise your work schedule, prioritising maintenance tasks according to established plans.
- Engage in a variety of carpentry tasks as required, including construction and minor repairs.
- Uphold and contribute to safe work practices, ensuring hazard minimisation and injury prevention on site.
- Demonstrate a commitment to GPC’s core values: respect, integrity, innovation, and collaboration.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as a carpenter in a building maintenance or construction environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to apply discretion and judgment in the execution of tasks.
- Ability to work efficiently within a team, while maintaining communication with internal departments.
- Commitment to upholding health, safety, and environmental standards.
- A willingness to contribute to the organisation’s culture and adhere to GPC’s values and Code of Conduct.

Formal Qualifications
- Trade qualification as a certified Carpenter
- C Class Driver’s License (Manual Transmission)
- Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC) or ability to obtain;
- Workplace Health & Safety training (desirable)
