We are currently seeking applications for a Risk and Compliance Officer to join Financial Services at The Department of Treasury & Finance for a period of up to 22 months.
Remuneration: ASO6 – Salary Range ($98,478 – $104,165p.a.).
About the opportunity:
We are seeking a risk and compliance lead with current experience planning, executing and delivering of risk, audit, and compliance activities relevant to a financial services environment. This is a key role working with a variety of stakeholders in Shared Services SA, to evaluate and manage operational risk across the business including driving a cyber-safe culture. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, have strong risk and compliance background, coupled with the ability to analyse and make recommendations in line with risk management principles, this opportunity is perfect for you.
About you
To be successful you will have:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and experience in risk management, compliance, and business continuity.
- Experience and/or detailed understanding of the SA Public Sector including the related risk management policies and requirements.
- Proven ability to develop audit and compliance proposals and provide sound, well-formulated, evidence-based advice and solutions on complex issues.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse and review data on complex operational processes and be able to identify key areas of risk that should be assessed during audits or compliance activity.
- Demonstrated high level interpersonal skills, experience in preparing oral and written communication, delivering training sessions and engaging a variety of stakeholders.
- Demonstrated knowledge of risk management relevant to financial/reputation risk management strategies and business best practices in cybersecurity.
- Technical expertise and experience in developing risks tools, resources, incident management and reporting.
- Demonstrated understanding of statistical analysis and reporting. Experience in developing and presenting statistical information.
- Demonstrated experience in the application of the relevant legislation, policies and procedures, including Code of Ethics, EEO and cultural inclusion.
- An understanding of the legislative requirements of the Work Health and Safety Act 2012.
- An understanding of and ability to work/manage to the spirit and principles of AS ISO 31000:2018 Risk management – Guidelines.
