Barpa Pty Ltd is a majority Indigenous owned commercial construction company. The core of our business is the construction of technical and complex facilities, which incorporate innovative design. Many of these construction projects are managed within a live operational environment and require careful and detailed planning.
Our clients include various Federal and State Government departments, Universities, Councils, Not for Profits, Private Companies and Tier One contractors.
The Role of Project Manager
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Sydney team! You will be responsible for delivering effective construction solutions that meet time, quality, budget, and safety parameters.
As an excellent communicator at all levels, you will build strong relationships with clients, architects, consultants, and subcontractors, fostering positive interactions.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage and deliver commercial construction projects from inception to completion
  • Ensure projects meet time, quality, budget, and safety standards
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with clients, architects, consultants, and subcontractors
  • Lead and mentor project teams, providing guidance and support
  • Develop and control project budgets and cost management
  • Ensure compliance with HSEQ requirements
  • Oversee technically complex projects ranging from $1m to $20m
  • Demonstrate adherence to our Blueprint values
  • Utilize MS Project and MS Office Suite for project management tasks
  • Minimize costs through numerical aptitude and commercial savviness
Requirements:
  • Degree qualified in Construction Management or a similar discipline
  • At least 8 years of project management
  • experience working on construction projects from $5m upwards
  • Strong leadership skills to manage and influence subcontractors
  • Solid experience meeting HSEQ requirements
  • Proficiency in MS Project and MS Office Suite
  • Defence experience is advantageous but not essential
