We have an amazing opportunity for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our Finance team as a Revenue Trainee for a 12-month term. This role offers a great entry point into financial operations within Council.

You'll learn council’s payment processing functions related to residents and businesses rates and water billing, ensuring accurate transaction records, and keeping systems and databases up to date. In addition, you will assist with enquiries related to these council rates and water accounts, delivering excellent customer service, and helping residents understand their payment options.

This position provides valuable hands-on experience in financial administration, compliance, and customer service—key skills for a successful finance career.
Council will support you with studies, working with you to complete a Local Government (Rates) Diploma setting you up for future growth in the industry.

About You

Bring your keen interest in a career in finance and your eagerness to expand your knowledge and skills. Strong personal skills are a must, including effective communication, the ability to negotiate, make sound decisions, and a commitment to consultation and engagement. Integrity, confidentiality, and ethical conduct are essential in all aspects of this role.

We are seeking candidates who are at least 18 years of age and possess a Higher School Certificate or equivalent qualification.
