About the role: You will be a member of a team responsible for the development of internal and external regulatory guidance and delivery of EPA’s capability uplift program. To enable regulatory decision makers to effectively operate within regulatory policies and duty holders to effectively prevent harm to communities and the environment from pollution and waste. You will lead and coordinate EPA’s regulatory change implementation deliver high-quality expert advice, planning and support, aligned to EPA’s strategic priorities, to prevent harm to Victorian communities and the environment from pollution and waste.
In this role you will: Develop and implement project management plans, with clearly defined objectives, targets, and measures to assess delivery effectiveness in both a qualitative and quantitative manner; continually align and integrate project management planning, activity, and evaluation with broader organisational activity to improve regulatory performance.Embed a discipline of strong program management focus and action in Regulatory Enablement Branch and across the EPA; introduce and apply project management principles into problem-solving methodologies and solution design and prioritise the consideration and management of the impacts of changBuild, maintain, and leverage strategic relationships and partnerships to ensure that the EPA is a trusted and influential authority in advancing the prevention of harm to the environment and human health from pollution and waste; effectively represent the EPA in the local community and at external forums.
Skills and experience: A relevant tertiary degree or qualifications in project management, policy development, program management, or equivalent.Senior experience and a record of achievement in the delivery of large-scale change initiatives, preferably within Government.Knowledge of contemporary project management methodologies.Advanced management skills and demonstrated capability to plan, monitor and deliver multiple concurrent projects / programs, including risk identification and management, budget development and management; optimise the allocation and use of resources; and evaluate project / program effectiveness.
