The Department of the Premier & Cabinet is looking for an enthusiastic & quality driven leader to support Queensland’s role in providing services to External Australian Territory of Norfolk Island.

Queensland’s service agencies work in partnership with the Commonwealth Government & Norfolk Island to provide the people of this island community with health, education, corrective & apprenticeship services. This unique role enables Queensland to nationally showcase its service excellence & foster relationships with the idyllic & historic community of Norfolk Island.

How You'll Contribute

In this role, you'll make your mark by:

Leading a team of policy professionals to develop and implement legislation and service delivery programs for Norfolk Island.

Partnering with stakeholders to deliver best practice policy and services advice to the Executive Director, Queensland Cabinet, and Federal Government.

Collaborating with, and supporting, Queensland services agencies to deliver to Norfolk Island.

Developing longer term policy and service options for Norfolk Island for government consideration.

What You'll Bring To The Role

You'll bring your strong understanding of the constitutional relationship between the Federal Government and Queensland to support management of the agreement to provide services to Norfolk Island. Your ethical leadership skills will guide an interdepartmental team in demonstrating service excellence to Norfolk Island and Australia.
