Who We Are

SBP Australia is an industrial and commercial builder, and our Insulated Panel Division boasts over 150 years of combined industry experience! This Division specialises in projects such as cold rooms, freezers, chillers, and process facilities, and we are looking for a Sales Estimator to fill a key role in our team.

We take our work seriously, but rarely ourselves. We have high standards and value collaboration and partnership. We are proud to have built long-lasting relationships with our clients, contractors, and suppliers over our 40-year history.

As a Sales Estimator, your passion, dedication and meticulous eye for detail will be a crucial part of the continued success of the Division, and you will have the chance to learn and grow alongside some of the industry’s best.

The Role

Reporting to the Panel Sales Manager, you will be responsible for

  • Identifying and engaging with potential clients in the Insulated Panel industry, (cold rooms, freezers and more),
  • Understanding the client's project requirements,
  • Preparing detailed quotes, and
  • Engaging with internal/external teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Full-time, Mon-Fri position based in Salisbury, Brisbane.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to expand our client base and increase market share in the Insulated Panel commercial and industrial construction sector.
  • Analyse scopes, drawings, and specifications to understand project requirements and assemble accurate and well-organised cost estimates for Insulated Panel projects.
  • Accurately measure and price from drawings and prepare detailed quantity take-offs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project handovers.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify potential risks and opportunities.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and contract negotiations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service throughout the sales process, addressing client concerns and resolving issues in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Proven track record in sales and/or estimating in the commercial and industrial construction industry.
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Results-driven, self-motivated, and able to work autonomously.
  • Exceptional negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Experience in the Insulated Panel industry is strongly favourable but not essential.
  • Experience in shop-fitting or architectural cladding estimating is strongly favourable but not essential.
