Chisholm is seeking an experienced Learning Designer for our Learning Design & Technologies Team.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Learning Experience Designer will pioneer the use of emerging technologies to create innovative, effective, and personalized learning experiences and resources across Chisholm Institute working collaboratively with subject matter experts (SME’s) and educators. This role is pivotal in driving the integration of emerging technologies and tools in learning and assessment design across programmes.
The role has a strong stakeholder focus, using emerging technologies, contemporary instructional design principles, methodologies and pedagogy to ensure best practice teaching and learning in an online, classroom and workplace environment. The Learning Experience Designer will have a strong commitment to enhancing the student learning experience through engaging learning experiences. They see themselves as life-long learners who strive for continuous improvement and are open to new ideas and creative approaches in learning experience design.
The role requires extensive experience in the design and development of online and blended learning programs to a high-quality standard that supports achievement of educational outcomes and enhances student engagement levels. This position provides targeted support to all the education sectors in the Institute, including: VET, VCE/VCAL and Higher Education.
ABOUT YOU
You are a highly motivated individual with well-developed skills, experience and qualifications as listed below:
Tertiary qualifications in learning design, instructional design or eLearning or equivalent industry experience
- Experience with emerging technologies, including AI-enhanced learning technologies to design and develop engaging learning and assessment experiences.
- Experience with variety of AI tools in all stages of learning design and development workflow.
- Demonstrated experience of using instructional design methodologies, adult learning principles and pedagogy to support the development learning and assessment.
- Experience designing and developing student centred and constructively aligned learning content for all modes of delivery.
- Demonstrated experience designing highly interactive, multimedia learning content using a variety of digital technologies e.g., Moodle (or other LMS), Articulate 360, Adobe Creative Suite (Audition, Premiere Pro), Vyond, Zoom, Generative AI, VR 360 video.
- Demonstrated experience developing learning content for use in accredited training (e.g., writing and designing learning content to a unit of competency), in higher education or organisational learning and development contexts.
- Demonstrated experience in the analysis of existing learning content (e.g., training needs analysis) and course design to identify gaps and areas for improvement.
- Demonstrated high level interpersonal communication skills with the ability to develop effective working relationships with SME’s, educators and team members.
- Demonstrated ability to work with educators to develop their understanding of and skills in the use of digital technologies to maximise learner and course outcomes.
- Versatile, results-oriented, with a continuous improvement focus and ability to influence outcomes.
- Demonstrated creativity, innovation and ethical thinking in applying solutions for the benefit of the customer/stakeholder.
