We are a successful locally owned and operated water treatment equipment/chemical supplier with over 33 years of operating history. Due to continued growth, we are actively looking for a suitable self-motivated Internal Sales Support representative for our expanding Sales & Service teams.
With over 35 staff, Freshwater Systems is recognised as the leading Water Treatment Company in the South Australia with an office in Victoria (selling products into all States and Territories) servicing industries such as aged care, hospitals, schools, government sites, plumbing contractors, mining, general industry, commercial buildings, food & beverage, wastewater and agriculture/pastoral/aquacultural water supplies.
Products we supply and service include Reverse Osmosis systems, Ultra-filtration, cartridge and bag filtration, rain water reuse systems, water softeners, multi-media filters, carbon and specialised media filters, UV systems, pumps/pump stations, DAF's, MBR and chemical water treatment dosing systems.
We are looking for an energetic person who is experienced in Water Treatment, (or willing to learn), may have a plumbing or pumping background or would be willing to undertake a Cert III course in Water Treatment. (After a qualifying period) or have a keen willingness to learn the Industry
The Role;
- Responsible for providing quotations, information and advice for commercial & domestic water treatment and pump
systems
- Provide sales support to the Sales Manager and Sales Representatives (& the Victorian office)
- Follow up of Sales quotations
- Seek out and develop new opportunities (existing markets and new products/markets) through market research and
investigation
- Analyse water quality parameters and provide a suitable treatment solution
- Providing technical information to clients in relation to all areas of water treatment and pumping equipment
- Willing to learn about all facets of Water & Waste Water Treatment
- Liaise with the Internal Project Manager & Manufacturing teams to roll out the successful delivery of water treatment plants & systems.
Qualifications and Experience (preferred);
- Experience as an Internal Sales Engineer or Support person within the Water & Waste Water Treatment & Pumping Industries
- Water and Waste Water Process design experience would be highly regarded
- Certificate in Water Operations – highly desirable but not essential (or willing to obtain after a qualifying period)
- Knowledge of water treatment chemicals and chemistry would be desirable but not essential
- The ability to work as a team to achieve a common goal
- Attention to detail, timely completion of Quotes/tasks/reports
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of MS Office software (essential) and experience with Aroflo or similar
electronic service based program (desirable)
-Strong communication and ‘people skills' with the ability to build and maintain strong, long term client relations
- strong work ethical with a high attention to detail
- Possess a “can do” attitude to provide a high level of customer service
- Current driver’s license
- Mechanical aptitude with a hands on approach
