About the roleViterra is seeking a Freight Coordinator join our logistics team in a key role coordinating road and rail freight bulk transport within Australia. This role will work with the Logistics Planner to schedule and co-ordinate rail movements and road transport services to meet internal and external requirements; ensuring efficiencies are generated for both the company and our customers.
Duties Coordinating rail and road freight within the designated areasIdentifying opportunities to achieve efficiencies (including optimising and back loading)Ensuring safety and compliance requirements are metAssisting in managing our network of preferred carriersMonitoring performance and KPI reporting
About you Certificate in Supply Chain and Logistics or 2-3 years relevant logistics experience.Experience in logistics including knowledge and experience of booking and coordinating road and rail transport.Knowledge of the grain industry.Solid understanding of Chain of Responsibility and SH&E legislation relevant to the role.Sound knowledge of technology to support business and delivery of roleExcellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skillsAbility to work independently, be self-motivated and proactive
