Are you a motivated, positive and committed leader with the policy, strategic analysis and project management skills and expertise to match?We are looking for two highly skilled and hard-working candidates to join our team based in Brisbane CBD for a period of 6 months, with the possibility of extension. These Manager roles will lead teams to critically analyse data, liaise with relevant stakeholders and prepare corresponding strategies, reports and presentations. Ideal candidates would contribute to fostering a productive and innovative workplace culture.
Working closely with the Director, you will provide high-level expert advice, guidance and strategic analysis on policy and legislative priorities and projects that contribute to the development of portfolio policies and resolution of related matters. Both roles will play an active role in preparing strategic policy documentation across the breadth of the Trade, Employment and Training portfolio. One will include some legislation responsibilities. The other will lead elements of a strategy refresh. The positions both have up to three direct reports.
About The Role
As the Manager, you will
- Manage the development and delivery of priority strategic projects, working across DTET teams and in consultation with government agencies and external stakeholders
- Prepare strategic policy documentation that inform Ministerial and senior executives on issues that may contribute to decision-making
- Build and manage positive working relationships and partnerships with colleagues, other levels of government - state and federal, industry and non-government organisation to achieve policy outcomes and deliver on Government commitments
- Lead, coach and train other team members to proactively respond to service delivery requirements with a high level of expertise.
