Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated SAP Payroll System Analyst to join our team. This role will be responsible for the functional administration, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of SAP Payroll On Premise.

As a key member of our team, you will ensure the smooth operation of SAP Payroll, troubleshoot issues, and support continuous improvements to our payroll systems. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Functional administration of the SAP Payroll On Premise instances
  • Maintain and monitor interfaces between SAP Payroll and Kronos.
  • Maintain SAP Payroll On Prem in compliance with the requirements of the national payroll team. .
  • Manage incidents, problems, and requests, and resolve functional issues within agreed time frames.
  • Implement new paycodes, changes to payrules/rates and/or leave accruals as directed by the national payroll team and/or HR business partner
  • Interpret Enterprise Bargaining Agreement and Awards for the Meat Industry and provide system guidance for implementation of rule changes.
  • Support the Payroll systems team and extended HR team by providing systems expertise and solutions.
  • Engage in continuous improvement activities.
  • Ensure compliance with industrial instruments and relevant payroll legislation.
  • Develop strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Identify and evaluate growth opportunities through innovative technologies and processes.
  • Maintain standard procedures and documentation.
  • Drive process improvements, ensure compliance, and interpret new legislation.

Skills & Competencies:

  • 3 - 5 years configuration – Advanced knowledge of SAP Payroll On prem (BAU environment)
  • Including configuration of building blocks, payroll testing, support parks, award interpretation, pay codes, pay rules, leave accruals, work rules, interfaces etc…
  • Developing requirements and unit testing
  • Experience with complex, multi-site and multi agreement organisations
  • Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting issues quickly, identifying and analysing solutions in a timely manner, and managing competing priorities and delivering high quality outcomes within agreed timeframes
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • SOX/Audit compliance
  • Analytically minded and solutions focused individual
  • SAP Payroll On Prem system reporting and extracts
  • Various Ad hoc reports as needed
  • Intermediate MS Excel skills
