Description:
The Category Specialist main duties are the following:
- Manage and conduct sourcing activities (RF-x) across categories
- Ensure procurement activities include, promote, and support our global ESG focus including social and sustainable procurement objectives
- Pricing management
- Supplier issues management
- Market watch updates
- Customer updates - market intel
- Contract execution and delivery
- Supplier business review support
- System reporting & data maintenance - Price files, pipeline
- System admin and data accuracy assurance
- Reporting
- Supplier compliance
- Support supplier onboarding - SCQ's, SSR's, TPIDD, SRA's
- Building interdepartmental relationships
- Support Accounts payable issues
- Bid Support
- SKU & supplier optimisation
- Support Product recalls
- Support Out Of Stocks (OOS)
- Assured supply
Requirements:
The Category Procurement Officer will have the following required skills:
MUST HAVE SKILLS:
- ***Sourcing experience** (sourcing and evaluation, sourcing strategies, etc)
- ***Contracting experience*** (contract drafting, etc)
- Client & supplier management
- Basic Negotiation skills
- 2 years of experience in a contract/ procurement role.
- Proactive, analytic, excellent interpersonal skills
- Advanced excel skills - index match, VLOOKUP, pivot tables, basic arithmetic, Sum of, percentages differences
DESIRED SKILLS:
- Previous experience in FMCG or Professional services(travel, printers, agency, IT etc.)
- Previous experience as Contract administrator, category procurement officer, project officer, procurement specialist
- End to end procurement framework
