About the role/Opportunity

Kids First Australia have an exciting Team Leader role working within NEMA Orange Door; a multi-agency hub that delivers high quality, safe and effective responses, in partnership with Family Safety Victoria (FSV).

As Team Leader, you will lead a multi-agency team of highly skilled practitioners to deliver consistent evidence informed practice. Although no two days will look the same, you can expect to:

  • Provide expert support and guidance to practitioners ensuring a high quality of service delivery. This includes case allocation, consultation, closure endorsement, screening, triage and assessments crisis response among other tasks.
  • Work with both internal and external stakeholders to foster integral positive working relationships.
  • Hold a supervision portfolio with Kid First practitioners
  • Participate in training and development activities to build your capability as an effective leader and practitioner.

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, or similar field.
  • No less than 3 years’ experience working the child welfare and/or family violence sectors.
  • Experience working with families and children presenting with complex needs and risk issues in any of the following areas: Family Services, Child Protection, Intake and Assessment and/or other services working with vulnerable families and children.
  • Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • Leadership experience required
