Your Key Accountabilities
The core capability requirements for this role are:
- Manage strategic procurement projects in collaboration with key stakeholders, ensuring that risk, probity and transparency requirements are addressed.
- Actively participate in an effective and professional procurement team.
- Provide high level procurement and commercial advice relating to procurement matters.
- Develop and maintain positive and constructive relationships with internal clients, vendors and staff to ensure procurement services are responsive to current and future needs.
- Provide specialist procurement and commercial advice relating to procurement matters to internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to operational reporting requirements and undertake governance to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Monitor and undertake financial and procurement systems compliance.
- Prepare high level correspondence (including briefings, reports and submissions) and procurement/contract related documentation.
Qualification
Highly Desirable
- Queensland Government Level 3 Procurement Certification or equivalent
- Experience in SAP
- Knowledge and experience in Queensland Government procurement policies, contract management related policies and supply chain methodology will be favourably considered.
- Experience in Procurement roles within public service and/or marine sector as well as experience in managing complex supplier arrangements and contracts would be beneficial to success in this role.
