About the role:

This role will suit a passionate and detail-oriented individual with a flair for creating unforgettable experiences. We're seeking a talented Events Officer to lead College-wide events that leave a lasting impact bringing our school spirit to life. As an integral part of our Advancement team, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our College and community engagement events.


As our Events Officer, you'll bring your exceptional project coordination, marketing, and communication skills to the table. From concept to execution, you'll ensure seamless event planning and execution, working collaboratively with stakeholders across our Junior and Secondary campuses. Your creative prowess will shine as you develop promotions plans and liaise with suppliers, all while upholding the College brand.

About you:

You will have the following skills and qualities:

  • High-level interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to engage positively and collaboratively with stakeholders in building engagement, securing resources and providing support;
  • Demonstrated experience working with a range of stakeholders;
  • Well-developed communication skills, proficient in writing and editing;
  • A creative and innovative approach with the ability to refresh;
  • A service provider with excellent customer service skills;
  • High level of professional personal presentation;
  • Enthusiastic and highly motivated;
  • High levels of organisation and attention to detail;
  • Technically savvy, with experience working with databases and Microsoft packages with high degree of proficiency and on social media platforms;
  • Collaborative team-player;
  • Possess or be willing to obtain a Working With Children Check, Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education and Care training;
  • Have an affinity with, and preparedness to support the Catholic ethos and Ignatian charism of the College.


Desirable Characteristics

  • Formal Qualifications (VET or Tertiary) in Event Management/Marketing/Fundraising or a similar discipline;
  • Experience in fundraising databases;
  • Proficiency with Adobe Indesign software;
  • Some experience working in a similar event or community engagement role.
