Position Summary:

The Business Development Representative (aka Cloud Generation Specialist @ Pax8) plays a crucial role in helping our partners sell Cloud Services to prospects. You’ll assess needs, set appointments for our Channel Account Managers, and drive key metrics to support our growth. Your primary success metrics will be securing 15 signed partners to the Pax8 platform. As a CGS, you’ll be a key part of our sales team, contributing to corporate sales goals. You'll participate in a development program to build and master foundational sales skills, offering uncapped earning potential and a clear career path.

This position is based in Brisbane, Australia.

Essential Responsibilities (includes, but is not limited to):

Develop New Business/Partner Recruitment:

  • Conduct a high volume of calls daily to introduce Pax8 Cloud Services.
  • Utilise email and social media for mass communication to identify potential new Channel Partners.
  • Provide a high-level overview of Pax8 products and services.
  • Set appointments to recruit new Channel Partners to the Pax8 program, aiming for 15 signed partners per month.

Meeting Coordination:

  • Schedule meetings between prospects and Pax8's Channel Account Managers.
  • Maintain Salesforce data integrity.

Ideal Skills, Experience, and Competencies:

  • Proven Experience: As a Lead Generation Specialist, Sales Associate or similar role, or a fast learner with drive.
  • High Call Volume: Energy and desire to make numerous (40+) phone calls daily all while maintaining high motivation and a great attitude.
  • Independent and Teamwork: Strong ability to work independently while supporting a team.
  • Clear Communication: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively through email and via telephone.
  • Coachability: Coachable and willing to learn.
  • Customer Empathy: High customer empathy and ability to handle objections.
  • Professional Demeanor: Maintains a professional demeanor and relates openly and comfortably with diverse groups of people.
  • Critical Thinking: Able to demonstrate critical thinking skills to understand the role and mission of the broader sales team.
  • Drives Results: Consistently achieve results, even under tough circumstances.
  • Being Resilient: Rebound from setbacks and adversity when facing difficult situations.
