The Office of the Governor has a full-time, permanent employment opportunity that would suit an experienced kitchenhand or emerging cook.This position directly supports the Head Chef and the Government House kitchen to provide high quality catering services appropriate for a Vice-Regal establishment. The kitchen team provides a range of catering services for all formal onsite events and engagements including State dinners, award ceremonies and receptions.
Total package of $74,958 to $78,105 + 12.75% Superannuation + meals, parking, uniforms and much more.

Your opportunity
The role of Cook works closely with the Chefs to plan catering elements for onsite events that align with the Governor's constitutional, ceremonial, and community responsibilities.
As a key member of a dynamic kitchen team, the Cook will play an important role in supporting professional chefs with experience in Michelin-starred kitchens and a brief to prepare food to a five-star standard.

- Communicates well and displays well-developed interpersonal skills.
