We’re excited to offer an opportunity for a Lead Coordinator – Member Training to join our Emergency Management Capability and Response (EMCaR) team on a full-time, ongoing basis . Located at our Port Melbourne Head Office and reporting to the Senior Manager – Capability, this role is responsible for leading the Volunteer Training business unit, ensuring the development, support, and maintenance of organisational training standards and policies across Victoria’s lifesaving clubs.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee and manage Member Training (MT) activities across all Life Saving Victoria affiliated services, ensuring effective training delivery and continuous improvement.
  • Lead the development and implementation of training projects, policies, and resources to enhance member skills and accreditation.
  • Support and engage clubs and stakeholders by building strong relationships, providing guidance, and improving communication through various channels (face-to-face, email, forums, social media).
  • Ensure compliance with ASQA and LSV training standards in collaboration with the LSV Quality Assurance team.
  • Proactively manage the administration and operations of the MT business unit, including budget management, reporting, and documentation updates.
  • Work closely with stakeholders, committee representatives, and key partners to identify and address club training needs.

You are a passionate and experienced training leader with a strong background in training and assessment.

  • You hold a tertiary qualification in Training and Assessment or a related field.
  • You have experience in managing accredited training programs and ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
  • You have strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage with members, clubs, and stakeholders effectively.
  • You are highly organised and adaptable, capable of managing multiple training projects and initiatives.
  • You have experience in developing training resources and materials (desirable).
  • Knowledge of lifesaving, water safety, and emergency management is advantageous.
