We’re excited to offer an excellent opportunity for a Lead Coordinator – Capability Systems to join our Emergency Management Capability and Response (EMCaR) team on a fulltime ongoing basis . Located at our Port Melbourne Head Office (flexible arrangements are available) and reporting to the Senior Manager – Capability, this role will play a critical part in ensuring the effective operation, enhancement, and support of emergency management systems and operational communications at Life Saving Victoria.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee and maintain operational and member training systems, ensuring they run effectively and support LSV’s mission.
  • Provide technical support, training, and advice to enhance system usage across the organisation.
  • Drive and support the digital transformation roadmap, leveraging automation and AI to improve efficiency.
  • Enhance real-time communication systems, ensuring timely and critical updates reach key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and ICT specialists to improve system functionality and user experience.
  • Ensure systems are continually monitored, maintained, and upgraded with minimal business disruption.
  • Support the implementation of new digital projects, ensuring smooth integration with existing LSV technology.
  • Develop and maintain user-friendly documentation and training resources to empower system users.
Who are you?
  • You are a technically skilled and solutions-focused professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about improving emergency management capability through technology.
  • You have a degree in IT, Computer Science, experience within technical operational communications (radio systems) or a related field, with hands-on experience in technical support and troubleshooting.
  • You possess strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and work with our development team to produce a solution.
  • You’re an excellent communicator, able to translate technical concepts into clear and practical guidance.
  • You are highly organised and adaptable, capable of managing multiple priorities and working both independently and collaboratively.
  • Experience with change management, system testing, and 3rd party applications is highly desirable.
