The Australasian College of Dermatologists (ACD) is the sole medical college providing training and continuing professional development for medical practitioners in the specialty of dermatology. The College advocates the importance of the profession to communities, government, and stakeholders with a focus on skin health.
About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Communications Manager, play a key role in supporting the College’s strategic communications and engagement priorities. You will create and deliver engaging content across digital and traditional media channels, including social media management, content writing, media relations, and publications. The role involves collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to enhance the College’s brand awareness, messaging, and strategic objectives.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Develop and schedule social media content and campaigns, creating engaging digital content (tiles, videos, reels, and EDMs).
- Collaborate with internal teams to source content, respond to social media inquiries, and align messaging with strategic priorities.
- Support the production of member communications, including magazines, newsletters, annual reports, and digital publications.
- Update and maintain website content in line with branding and key messaging guidelines.
- Draft media releases, manage media enquiries, and maintain media contact databases.
- Coordinate advertising schedules, liaise with media buyers, and support invoicing processes.
- Monitor digital performance, provide reporting insights, and recommend opportunities for improvement.
- Demonstrated experience in communications, marketing, or digital media with relevant tertiary qualifications.
- Proven ability to create content across social media, digital publications, and traditional media.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in managing social media platforms, monitoring tools, and working with external agencies.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, organisational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and collaborative, with the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
