We have a great opportunity for a Payroll Officer to join our dedicated team based in Springfield Central. As the Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for processing fortnightly and monthly payroll, manual checking of data and applying adjustments to payroll at the centre. In your new role, you will:- Maintain payroll system and data records, including employee master files, leave management, register maintenance, sickness and overtime reports, contracts, awards, employee records, and all other associated records
- Interpret and provide advice to all staff on salaries and related entitlements, leave and general conditions of employment in line with employment contracts, Enterprise Agreement, legislation, policies and procedures
- Perform all payroll administrative tasks, including filling and setting up new starters
- Process increases, higher duties, expense claims, calculation of back pays, garnishees, child support deductions, leave applications, checking entitlements, and input and processing
- Assist employees with enquiries in relation to their salary and/or leave entitlements
- Process ‘Change of Employment Conditions (CEC)’ Forms. Ensure that the necessary approvals are received before entering employee details into payroll system
- Provide month end information to external accounting partners for finalisation of payroll tax, PAYG and other statutory entitlements
- 2+ years experience working in medium to high volume payroll
- Experience with time & attendance
- Knowledge in Microsoft Suite, Oracle, NetSuite and Kronos (UKG) is highly desirable
- Ability to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccinations
