Senior Project Manager (SCADA - PLC -RTU Projects)

We are actively seeking a Project Manager for a position we have in Cairns, office-based working locally within Cairns CBD.

You will be primarily responsible for delivering projects within the water, waste water sector, meeting client and contractor expectations.

The role is office based and would suit someone looking for a challenging yet engaging role that is interesting and varied but will not require extensive travel intrastate or interstate. Some local travel to job sites may be required occasionally.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of consultancy RFQ, Tender & Procurement documentation
  • Undertaking constructability reviews
  • Completing tender/quotation reviews and evaluations
  • Review of tender documentation (i.e. drawings, technical specifications, price schedules, safety in design documentation, etc.) and follow-up of changes with the appointed consultant
  • Update project plan and manage information activities utilising MS Project or similar
  • Managing the delivery of projects, progress leadership and detailed reporting
  • Managing internal & external stakeholders
  • Liaison between the design consultant and contractors, utility services
  • Progress payment assessment and audit review
  • Manage project documentation and follow PowerLogix Project Management methods and safe working procedures
  • Project close-out and documentation finalisation
  • Ensure compliance with HSEQ requirements
  • Project progress reporting and conducting weekly meetings
  • Provision of advice on any technical and engineering issues, respond to RFI’s etc

Your Experience and Skills

  • Knowledge of SCADA packages, control systems RTU and automation philosophy
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A strong track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, meeting or exceeding stakeholder expectations
  • Demonstrated experience and a clear understanding of project management methods and project management software packages
  • Project Programming and planning skills
  • Financial acumen and experience working with stakeholders in financial matters; budgets, forecasting, Capex, Opex etc.
  • Organised, efficient, structured and detailed work methods
  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Proven problem-solving and critical-thinking capabilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Power BI

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Application of project management methodologies, e.g. PRINCE2
  • Tertiary qualification in Construction or Engineering
  • Construction White Card
  • QLD Drivers Licence
