What's on offer?
Permanent Full-time and/or Part-time, hours negotiable up to 80 hours per fortnight (Multiple positions available, appointments will be negotiated).
Pro rata remuneration package based on full-time equivalent value of up to $536,916 p.a., comprising base salary range of $210,332 - $266,677 p.a (full-time) or $100.78 - $127.77 p.h. (part-time) (L18-L27), recreational leave loading (17.5%), and employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%). attraction and retention incentive allowance (50% base salary), regional and rural attraction allowance (5% base salary), motor vehicle allowance (between $21,000 and $25,500 p.a.), professional development allowance ($21,500 p.a. + 3.6 weeks p.a. leave) , private practice arrangements, communications package, professional indemnity cover and inaccessibility allowance (if applicable).
Assistance with relocation expenses may also be available.
About the role
- Responsible for appropriate clinical supervision and direction of medical staff, (including Specialist Trainee registrars) within the unit.
- Liaise and communicate effectively with all levels of staff and the diverse range of clients of the Townsville Hospital and Health Service.
- Ensure that the Diagnostic Imaging and interventional procedures under his/her control are of a high standard and providing written reports on examination for which he/she is responsible.
- Participate in the radiology weekly roster.
Role requirements
- Medicall degree registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a specialist in Diagnostic Radiology.
- Fellowship with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR).
- Evidence of participation in a continuing professional development (CPD) education programme.
- Radiation Safety License.
- Candidates who will be obtaining fellowship in the near future are encouraged to apply. Appointment will be at a lower classification level until minimum requirements for the Staff Specialist classification are obtained.
