A Non-For-Profit organisation is seeking an experienced maintenance officer to join the maintenance team.
The role has full time hours 8am - 4pm Monday to Friday each week
This role requires a person who is able to carryout out general maintenance tasks and other duties as directed by management- job sharing days between each facility.
Client Details
Our client is a non-for-profit Aged Care Foundation that provides high quality residential aged care. They are now seeking an experienced maintenance officer to assist at both Sydenham and Footscray locations.
Description
Your role will require you to assist the maintenance team with various duties this could include
- General repairs (locks, doors, hardware, basic tap ware, joinery, floor repair - carpet tiles etc)
- Painting - Plaster patch and touch up paint
- Repairs to walking and mobility aids
- Movement of equipment beds, chairs etc
- Repairs and relocation of furniture as required
- Fire panel isolation for work and contractors
- Meet with and schedule external contractors
- Check external contractors work on completion
- Administration of work - work flow via a computer maintenance management portal
You will be required 3 days at Sydenham, 2 days at Footscray. Once the client secures a permanent person for the Sydenham site you will then transfer to full time hours at Footscray.
Profile
To be considered you MUST have the following:
- A current and Valid NDIS Check
- Have full work rights
- Be available for an immediate interview
- Have proven reliability and skills required for the role - checked through reference checks
- Follow correct manual handling techniques
