ABOUT THE JOB
The Retail Market Manager is responsible for driving the retail performance within Australia. This role ensures that store management teams are equipped with the tools and resources needed to deliver an exceptional client experience while achieving sales and profitability goals. The Retail Market Manager will play a key role in elevating retail leadership and operational excellence in the market.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Retail Market Manager, you will oversee the performance of directly operated points of sale, as well as concessions and boutique spaces with directly employed staff. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring operational efficiency, visual merchandising excellence, and strong team leadership.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensure all stores adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), covering stock management, cash handling, health and safety, and retail experience standards.
- Monitor and optimize store visual merchandising and in-store displays, providing feedback and support where needed.
- Implement stock management best practices, including stockroom organization, inventory control, and returns/repair processes.
- Conduct operational assessments and ensure compliance with local legal requirements.
- Optimize store operations by managing scheduling, holiday planning, and adherence to store personnel budgets.
- Analyze sales, product performance, and KPIs to drive data-informed decision-making.
- Lead and mentor store managers through performance reviews, development plans, and operational coaching.
- Act as a point of contact for store uniform orders, system training, and procedural updates.
- Maintain budget control over store operational costs, including cleaning, security, and maintenance.
- Plan and execute retail strategies in alignment with business objectives, collaborating with senior leadership.
- Regularly travel to stores to ensure market visits, operational assessments, and direct engagement with retail teams.
