The Opportunity

Based in Brisbane, the Supervisor- Signalling is responsible for ensuring successful implementation of the project by applying the company quality, safety, environment, and training management process to construction activities.

Supervisors work on rosters that meet operational needs and may be required to work shifts, weekends and from time to time to travel and work at locations outside their base.

Key responsibilities include.

· Supervise all site activities allocated to construction team members, ensuring safe working practices in accordance with project safety systems and processes.

· Ensure team members complete allocated projects in accordance with specifications of the project.

· Planning of all construction activities in consultation with the Construction Manager, Project Manager or Senior Project Engineer, including the setting of priorities and allocation of available resources to ensure objectives and deadlines are met.

· Provide input into the estimate of ‘costs of construction’ for allocated projects in terms of labour, materials, and costs.

· Quantify, control, receipt and issue of materials required for the timely completion of projects.

· Coordinate, prepare and liaise with appropriate colleagues to commission new works and alterations to existing systems.

· Monitor construction practices to ensure the quality of construction work is of a high standard.

· Ensure appropriate liaison with all contractors, sub-contractors, and stakeholders on projects.

Requirements to be successful.

· A minimum of five years’ experience in a similar role within the rail corridor involving the supervising of cable crews, planning and delivery

· Relevant construction card (e.g., white card)

· Rail Industry Worker Card (RIW)

· A Grade Electrician

· Driver’s licence

· Tickets and Licences: forklift, EWP, and First Aid
